When I was 22 yrs old, passed out of Engineering, my uncle called me to Dubai for searching a job. I came only on one condition that whether I can continue my musical activities. He said I can, and then I flew to Dubai. It gave me my first international flight, which was always my dream.
Landed in Dubai and started searching for job. Being a computer Engineer, I was having high expectations from the job market here, but unfortunately I could not get a good job initially, started with soemthing and it did not worked out well. But before my Visa expiry, Dubai gave me a good job, which really shaped my executive abilities and made me a real Executive in my working environment.
Also, because that job was related to Hotel industry I could travel a lot to most of the Middle East countries, which again made me learn a lot of things in life. I thank to Dubai for this.
Another big thing I received from this wonderful city is the Maharashtra Mandal community. There I could really work on my cultural, social and extra curricular activities. I kept performing in various events, kept meeting a lot of good people and could get a chance to relate to them. Dubai gave me this chance to be amongst my community even after being away from Mumbai.
Last year I was the part of MMD working committee, and in the true sense I tried to pay back the MMD. But I know that I will have to keep it doing through coming years too. I have learnt a lot of things while working there. We did good programmes, good events and good social awareness throughout the year. I got to know lot of people and got their love and affection too.
Now I am leaving this wonderful place for good, but last 5 years whatever this place has given me would always be in my memory forever. Whenever I will get a chance to do something for my friends and relatives in Dubai, I will surely take it up. Its the blessings and positive energy you get from the place, you can touch heights. I owe a lot to Dubai and its wonderful people. I will keep thanking you for what you have made me, and Dubai will remain the closest in the future memory lane.....
