The Amazing 22 Days of my Life........

I was waiting for my vacation, very eagerly and finally the day of 31st may 2009 arrived. Took the flight and went to my home land. Was feeling happy to be there and had a major task in my hand to meet many people for counselling about my future plans. I was having a list on which I started working from the very next day 2nd june 2009.

Met my mentor Vaishali Samant first up and had a wonderful meeting with her, she received me very dearly and accepted the small gift which i gave her with a big smile. She gave me many contacts to call and meet regarding Musical assignments. And it really helped a lot. She also sent me to one studio near her house, which is run by Mr. Paresh Shah he was having some project for devotional songs and VS recommended my name for the same. I was happy to give my audition to Pareshji, and he liked my voice after listening to my portfolio CD.

The start was great and i really thanked VS for helping me out, she has been the real source of motivation for me right from the time of our concert in Dubai. She also told me that on 14th june she had some concert in Pune and I was the part of it, but due to some reason that got cancelled. But VS made sure that I am accompaning her for her new album launch at Pune. I got ready for this opprtunity on one foot. On the way of Pune we stopped at Karjat, and went to one of the farm house of Mr. Hegde who was a Ex Mayor of Mumbai, it was his birthday and VS was invited to sing some songs for him. She also introduced me there, and we performed a song together. Show No. 1 completed. Then we went to Pune, and the New Album Launch was at the famous "Balgandharva Rangamandir", a dream auditorium to perform for any new singer. I thanked god and VS for that opportunity, album launch was superb, we performed some songs together and it was a great feeling.

Same evening there was another show at the famous "Ganesh Kala Krida Kendra" in pune, (All punekars know these places and they will be very proud of me for performing there) it was a show for Dr Ambedkar Mahotsav, where the lead singer was Mr. Anand Shinde, and VS was a guest singer, she took me also there for this. I was very happy to meet Anand ji. He is a great voice. I saw the craze of his voice amongst the public, its awsome when he stands on the stage and sings the first line people jump on their sits and enjoy it to the core. Hatts off to Anand Shinde. Also saw live performance of him with VS on Kombdi and Galgale nighale, Awsome !!!

So in the first pune trip I did 3 shows and I simply could not believe it. After coming back from Pune, I kept meeting lot of music industry people, some were giving meetings some were neglecting all experiences. while all this was happening, 13th june came, and VS called me up for 14th june programme, due to some reason, the show was on, and she needed me there. I obliged and went to pune again, performed at PYC Bhandakar road, it was a rotary club programme. Sho No 4 done. Same evening there was a big show at Sahakar Nagar, where VS was a Guest, there also she took me and we performed on Kombdi Palali......For me the Kombdi was running fast.....

So 5 shows completed in merely 15 days of my vacation what more I can ask for? But it was great and I learnt a lot about the Show industry and things about Live Performance.

After coming back from Pune, I was trying to meet people again, and then the call of my life came, I got a meeting with Abhay Rumde who is the recordist of Shankar Mahadevan the Famous MD. I was very happy, it was 17th June 2009. I went to Studio Purple Hays at Bandra.

Met Abhay and he intoduced me to Shankar Ehsaan Loy. I was so happy to speak with Shankar ji, he was so simple and spoke to me for about 10 minutes before he entered his studio for recording. Felt really nice, he said he will listen to my work and contact me after the same. I couldnt have asked for more in my short trip of 22 days.

VS was so happy to hear the news as I went on my own upto SM and met him, she was proud of me for this, I was also happy that I could make this happen. Thanked GOD Thanked Abhay and Thanked my dear friend Nilesh Raje who took me to the Gods.

Next day I met the famous Music Director in Marathi Devotional Mr. Nandu Honap. He was very nice to speak with and he guided me about the things, it was really motivating to hear his experiences.

In the mean time, VS called up for another show on 20th June at Shanmukhanand. Another big and famous auditorium in Mumbai. I was happy to say yes for this opportunity too. Felt so Good.

That was the Show No 6 for me, and truly a memorable one too. Finally 22nd june came, and I had to pack my bags for return to Dubai. I was so very against it, but call of the place. Now I am back with the amazing memories of those golden 22 days, lifelong relationship with Vaishali Samant as a Mentor, Guide, Friend.......She is truly my source of inspiration, and a good human being. I am learning a lot from her, be it the business sense, be it the humanity, the cultural values, Musical Excellence....Great to have her very near to me. Thanks to God.
