First blog of 2010.....

Happy New Year....2010....Very important year for me and my musical career. To start with, i have decided to write a blog after every performance of mine at least, so that, you all my fans n frends are aware about my ongoing work and progress.

As per the rule, writing my first blog today, after a fabulous evening I had at Sunville Hall worli, where I performed in a show for RBI Worli branch. It was their annual get together, and had a great time performing today. To my surprise I had the company of Madhura Datar ( saregamapa fame), Anirudhdha Joshi ( saregamapa fame) and Sonalee Karnik. All very talented performers.

And the biggest pleasant surprise was today's team leader it was none other than the Amar Oak.

Very talented flutist in our time. The evening started with some marathi numbers, I opened my account with 'Man udhan varyache' followed by 'Aanewala pal' and so on.

The highlight of the show was 'Chand sifarish' for me. I really enjoyed performing it. Its a wonderfully melodious number. Also sang 'Kombadi' and 'Kajrare' with Madhura and Sonalee. Had fun singing them too. Overall, it was a very satisfying show.

Today the sound team worked really well, if the sound is good, we singers enjoy it a lot. And so the public. Crowd was decent today, they were listening to all the voices and they were touched by the solo flute playing by Amar da. It was fabulous.

Amar da is an essential part of the program "The Musicians" and today he was alone with us, but he showed us the magic with his RDB medley. It was fun to listen to his flute.

I am very happy that I am getting good opportunities, and I am getting to learn so many things through all these concerts. I hope for a great year ahead with many such concerts, and also, some of my solos too. Lets see how everything goes once I launch my album, and do my first Solo Concert in the near future.
